Can't see how to send an SMS

Question

I have just downloaded the free version of ZoiPer for Windows and am surprised not to be able to find a way to send an SMS.

Is it lurking there somewhere or am I wasting my time looking?

Zoiper could be used to send SMS messages through SIP SIMPLE but only if your voip provider supports it. Please contact your voip provider.

My VoIP provider is OpenVoIP (Italy) and on their website (http://www.openvoip.it/sms.html) they say that they provide an SMS gateway structured according to an SOA (presumably Service Oriented Architecture) to which application software can interface.

That being so, what can I do in Zoiper to do just that?

I believe their answer is just the long version for "No, we don't support it". SIP SImple to SMS Gateway is needed. If they have it, you can just enter the number and send an SMS to someone. If they dont, you will probably be charged, but recipient wont receive the message.
