I can dial a number and hear the other party, but they cannot hear me? I am using an iPhone 6

Question

I am using Zoiper with Fusion Talk and when I call a Japan phone, I hear them fine, but they cannot hear me.

I also notice that the phone defaults to speaker phone and doesn't allow me to disable the speaker phone function.
