Samsung Galaxy S3 huge sound cut. (proximity sensor)

Question

Hi, 
On my Samsung Galaxy s3, there seem to have a problem with the proximity sensor.  When I move the phone away from my face and then move it back close,  there is extreme sound cut as if turning on and off the screen is too Cpu intensive for the phone.
