NPAPI Chrome Support?

We are using the Embedded Zoiper Plugin (NPAPI) and are concerned that our clients using Chrome will be affected. Is there any talk about creating a compatible plugin that will work with Chrome?

Having everyone switch to Firefox is not an option and we do not support Internet Explorer

Unfortunately it seems impossible to make a direct plugin replacement, the PEPPER API alternative is too limited. 

We are working on some other alternatives to control a phone from the browser, but cannot make any announcements yet.
