Phone rings / vibrates when screen off, but screen doesn't turn on and no incoming call screen

Question

Zoiper is working on my Xiaomi Max phone, but the problem is when the phone screen is off, the phone only rings and vibrates with incoming call.. I need to unlock, go to the app to answer the call. I checked and all notifications are enabled for the app. what else do I need to do to fix this ?
