Cannot send/receive SMS in Zoiper (Twilio)

I have Zoiper working fine as a softphone, but I cannot send/receive SMS. I have enabled presence as detailed here: https://www.zoiper.com/en/support/home/article/95/I_cannot_send_or_receive_messages__Chat_and_Presence#android


Any thoughts? What do I need to do on the Twilio side?

Zoiper supports "chat"(SIP "MESSAGE") over "SIMPLE". If Twillio has gateway to SMS, you should be able to send and receive SMS messages. You need to contact them and ask them if they have such gateway.
