why does inbound caller not hear ringing signal on Zoiper Samsung S8?

Question

When I register Zoiper on another handset everything works properly

but with Zoiper on Samsung S8 inbound callers do not get a ringing/calling sound, just silence before the call connects

the actual calls do work though once connected

Any experts know of a Samsung glitch ?
