Add plus sign (+) to the list of dial-strip-characters

0 votes

Issue:

In Zoiper Beta 2.12.3, as installed, the plus sign (+) is not included in the list of dial-strip-characters.

Since this character is very common, especially in European countries, it should be included.

Workaround:

Edit the dial-strip-character list to include the plus sign.

You should not use the Strip dial characters option, use instead the "Number rewriting feature.

Most servers will not be able to dial numbers with "00" or "+" prefixes that start directly with country codes.

Can you please be more specific?

Since it appears that the "dial strip characters" feature accomplishes this, what would be the advantage of "number rewriting"?

Maybe I am doing this wrong? When I tried "number rewriting" it didn't work.
